Centipede grass needs a minimal amount of grass care, including little fertilization or mowing, and as such is perfect for busier lifestyles. However, with proper lawn care and maintenance, this growing grass can compete against weeds all on its own. This type of grass is typically slow growing, and takes a little bit longer to repair.
