Humus
Definition:
Humus
The organic, decomposed matter comprising the main element of good soil. Small amounts of thatch provide moisture for humus production, which helps growing grass. Lawn aeration, or core aeration, reduces unwanted thatch and provides air to the soil. This helps growing grass to gain the necessary nutrients to become thick and lush.
