Melting Out
The second phase of a common group of lawn diseases caused by the same family of fungi. After the first stage, called leaf spot, growing grass dies from root rot in the hot summer months. Leaf spot and melting out, like most grass diseases, can be prevented with proper lawn aeration, fertilization and overall lawn care.
