Nematode

Definition:

Nematode
A type of microscopic roundworm that dwells in soil and on plant roots. They feed on plant root cells, damaging root systems so the lawn cannot properly absorb water and nutrients. Symptoms of this lawn disease includes irregularly sized yellow, weak or slow to grow grass with short or stunted or swollen or knotty roots. Proper lawn and yard care can help cultivate pure soil and prevent nematode infestation.
