Pre-Emergent

Definition:

Pre-emergent

A preventative approach to a problem, such as preventing weeds from growing before they germinate. Pre-emergent weed control also prevents seedlings from growing to maturity. Herbicides designed to prevent weed growth are applied before the seasonal growth period of the weed during regular yard care.
