Sedge
Definition:
Sedge
A large family of plants that resemble grass or rush and typically are found in wetlands or areas with poor soils. Some of the more common and widely known varieties of sedge include water chestnut, papyrus sedge and sawgrass. Nutsedge is another common variety of sedge, and is one of the more prevalent weeds affecting lawns and turf.
