Definition:
A type of insect with several different species that typically attacks Kentucky bluegrass, but also attacks perennial ryegrass, fescues and lawn turf. Adult billbugs are grayish in color and have no legs, but push and pull themselves through the soil like a worm. Only a few species cause significant harm, but preventative grass and lawn care measures should be taken to prevent future damage.
